SENIOR PASTOR - Rev. Manley Beasley, Jr.
|
|
Rev. Manley completed his undergraduate work at Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies. He then continued his education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Divinity in Theology with emphasis on evangelism. His love for and commitment to evangelism and spiritual awakening has led him to preach in 19 different states in the US and 7 foreign countries. He has served as Minister of Youth, Associate Pastor, Senior Associate Pastor, and Senior Pastor in six different churches. He was also Executive Director of Gospel Harvesters Foundation for seven years while traveling as a vocational evangelist. Rev. Manley Jr. and his wife, Shirleen, have two children: a son, Christopher, and a daughter, Amber Goff.

PASTOR EMERITUS- Rev. Gerald Taylor
 |
Bro. Gerald became interim pastor of Hot Springs Baptist Church in January 2005. He was born in New Edinburg, Arkansas, but grew up in El Dorado. He surrendered to the gospel ministry in June 1952 and graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 1957 with a B.A. degree in Religion and from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1961 with a M. Th. degree. Among the churches he has served are Life Line Baptist in Little Rock, First Baptist Church, Monticello, First Baptist Church, White Hall, First Baptist Church, Stamps, First Baptist Church, Sherwood, and Temple Baptist Church, El Dorado. He retired in 1996 and Hot Springs Baptist Church was his tenth interim pastorate.
Gerald and his wife, Catherine, were appointed Missionary Associates, SBC., to Senegal in June, 1987, and they served the International Baptist Church of Dakar, Senegal, for five years, returning to the United States in December, 1993. They are the parents of four adult children: Susan Ladd of Sherwood, Max G. Taylor of Benton, Sharon R. Taylor of Little Rock, and Karen J. Reynolds of Malvern. They have 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

EXECUTIVE PASTOR/MUSIC/SR. ADULTS- Rev. Danny Baxter

Danny joined the Hot Springs Baptist Church staff in January 2004. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama and surrendered to ministry in August 1983. He has a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in 1987 and a Master of Arts in Religious Education/Administration from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas in 1990. In addition to his love for music and people, Danny enjoys golf, landscaping and yard work in his free time. He and his wife, Cindy, have two daughters, Bradey, and Brittney Horne.

STUDENTS PASTOR - Rev. Tad Moore

Tad works with the Students grades six through twelve. He has many years of experience working with youth and previously worked at HSBC as a youth intern. He loves the Lord and working with kids. We are happy to have him as a part of our team and working with our students.

PASTOR OF CHILDREN/MISSIONS/PASTORAL CARE- Rev. Kevin Dutton

Kevin comes from Oklahoma where he served as Children's Pastor for six years. He has also served as Pastor of Education/Evangelism in several churches, Pastor of Education/Youth in another, and began a church where he served as Senior Pastor for two years. He received a BA from Criswell College and attended Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth. In addition to Children's Ministry, he loves mission work and evangelism. Outside of his family, his interests include hunting, camping, fishing, boating, and watching sports. Kevin's ministry objective is "To see children come to the Lord and to teach them God's word so they will mature in Him and trust Him to meet their needs... and to help parents develop a practical and Biblical understanding of raising their children." Kevin and his wife, Jana, have two sons, Nathan and Thomas.

PASTOR OF DISCIPLESHIP/ASSIMILATION- Rev. Shane Robertson

Shane is a native of Hot Springs and has served in various capacities in churches in Arkansas and Texas. He was licensed and ordained to the ministry in Arkansas and holds degrees in Biblical Studies/Languages and Communications from Ouachita Baptist University and a Masters of Divinity (Biblical Languages) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He and his wife, Katrina, have two children, Savanna and Conner.

CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR - Kenneth Humbert
 |
Kenny joined the staff in April of 2003. He served for twelve years as Church Administrator at Hilltop Baptist Temple in Cedar Park, Texas and ten years as Assistant Vice President at MBank in Round Rock, Texas. Kenny and his wife Ruth with their two sons, Daniel and Clayton, moved to Hot Springs in June of 2000. Kenny also on occasion plays the piano during worship services. He is a man of many talents and seeks the Lord's guidance daily in the business of our church.

PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR - Brooke Howard

Brooke joined our team in November of 2008. She has a great love for children and the desire to teach and share the love of Christ with them. She is married to Scott and they have three children, Hayden, Savannah, and Anna Kate. Making our preschool area a place of love and fun is a high priority for Brooke. She will go to great effort to make you and child feel right at home.

BUILDING DIRECTOR - William Kagel

Bill is a long-time resident of Hot Springs. He and his wife Carol have two daughters, Kayla and Kati. Carol is the school nurse at Lake Hamilton Junior High School. Bill is active with our youth and also teaches a youth Sunday school class. You will find him helpful and well informed with the functions and layout of the church facilities.

PASTOR'S SECRETARY - LaVerne Hill

LaVerne has many years of experience in executive and administrative positions. She and her late husband, Gene, were born and raised in Hot Springs. Their son, Kevin, and their daughter, Leslie, live in Hot Springs. LaVerne shares her love for music and praise for the Lord as an active member in our Celebration Choir. With love and grace, she is always available to be of service to our church family.

FINANCIAL SECRETARY - Karey Lookadoo

Karey joined the staff in May of 2003. She was born in Lufkin, Texas and her husband, Steve is a long time resident of Hot Springs. They have a daughter, Lauren. Karey has many years of experience in office management and bookkeeping. She is actively involved in our Women's Ministry and loves to lift her praises to the Lord as a member of our Celebration Choir. With an encouraging smile, she is ready to help and serve where and when needed.

EDUCATION SECRETARY - Jennifer Lively

Jennifer joined the staff in June of 2003. She has more than ten years of experience in a wide range of clerical duties. She is actively involved in many areas of the church. With a cheerful spirit, she is willing to help wherever needed.

WORSHIP SECRETARY - Karen Chadick
 |
Karen joined the staff of Hot Springs Baptist Church in October 1999. She and her husband Dale have a son, Austin. Karen handles our Communicator layout, assists Bro. Danny with music ministry publications and Power Point slides. With a desire to please and to support others, Karen is there to care for our church family in anyway possible.

RECEPTIONIST - Karen Brown

Karen joined our team in March of 2006. With her wonderful smile and her uplifting spirit, she is the one at the front desk answering the phone. Karen also publishes the Wednesday Night Prayer Sheet. One word to describe Karen is joyful. She and her husband, Chad, lift their voices and instruments to the Lord as members of our Celebration Choir and Orchestra. They have a daughter. Karen is a blessing to our staff and we know she will be a blessing to you.
