Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

The heart, desire, and passion of HSBC Kids is to see children grow in their relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  The Children's Ministry at HSBC is committed to teaching God's Word in fun and exciting ways.  Our purpose is to minister to the children as well as their parents.  We want the them to learn the Word of God, grow in their faith, and come to know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.  We accomplish our purpose through our weekly activities and special events throughout the year.


Sunday Activities

Kids Church 10:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. Kids Church is a wonderful time for children who are in 1st through 5th grade to learn and worship Jesus in a creative, positive, loving environment.  During Kids Church kids play games, worship Jesus, learn Bible stories, memorize Scripture, see videos, and meet a wide range of puppets all designed to teach them the Biblical truths about Jesus.

Kid Praize (Grades 1-5) 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. We like to provide opportunities where children learn to worship God through participating in music, singing, instrumental music, drama, and videos.

 Wednesday Activities

Kids in Chimes (Grades 1-5) 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. This time offers children training and instruction in instrumental music.  The children have a chance to perform during worship services on a regular basis.  This is the only program that has specific enrollment periods during the year.

SPECIAL EVENTS

 Vacation Bible School is the big event of each summer with lots of Bible study, crafts, games, and fun.  Family night gives parents a chance to see what their children have done during VBS.

Summer Church Camp is a time for the kids to go to a special place for a week of learning and spending time together.  Youth camp  will be available to those who have completed 6th grade.  Preteen Camp at Spring Lake will be available to those who have completed grades 3 through 5.

Family Fun Festival is an event each May for children and their families with lots of games, excitement, and free food!

Joy Works Music Camp at Ouachita Baptist University is available for those who would like more training in the arts.

Seasonal Events will take place throughout the year during the Fall, Christmas season, and Spring.
